Position Summary The Sales and Business Development Representative (SBDR), China/HK position is primarily focused on new business acquisition as well as account management of Energizer’s existing OEM and Hearing Aid Battery customers in the China as a key member of a significant growing market segment. Device trends are driving growth of demand for batteries and this role will be responsible for delivering profitable growth and maintaining margin for Energizer in these markets. A major responsibility will be to aggressively prospect for new business to build a strong pipeline for sustained growth and the SBDR must have a high sense of urgency and a relentless focus on winning in both the short-term and the long-term. The role will involve identification of specific business opportunities and mapping out detailed business plans for each targeted new market segments, followed by the execution of action plans to penetrate and increase market share in these segments. To capitalize on changes in technology and corresponding battery requirements both in consumer and industrial products, the SDBR must be kept abreast of the latest trends and insights within the markets. This will be achieved by frequent visits to the market to meet customers and attend trade shows/conferences externally and working with the sales support team, leveraging on the CRM system and market/product research internally. The SBDR position works cross functionally with internal teams to achieve stated business objectives. He/She also works with his/her commercial colleagues in the OEM & HAB Pro Global leveraging their support and providing specific local support to Global accounts in his/her geographies, ensuring they are serviced with excellence and in line with Global contracts. Specific Accountabilities Business Development (60%)- Identification of specific business opportunities and mapping out detailed attack plans for each targeted new market segments, followed by the execution of action plans to prospect and win new accounts to increase market share in these segments. Sales Management (40%) - Develop and implement sales strategies to maintain and grow existing assigned business. Execute activities to achieve sales goals for China/HK region targeted at improving market penetration. Analyze sales statistics to formulate plans and assist accounts in promoting sales Monitor competition in each market and develop strategies to minimize risk Maintain strong relationship with key decision makers from existing distributors and customers Support global accounts growth across Developing Markets, partnering within the Global Account team On going research into new market and product segments, maintain and update market trends and customer information in the CRM system and leverage CRM system and data analytics to improve prospects conversion. Develop an accurate sales forecast and ensure effective communication with Customer Service, Supply/Demand Planning, trade activation teams to deliver agreed sales and operation planning targets May also perform additional duties as assigned What we are looking for Required Skills and Experience Experience: University degree or equivalent in commercial related subject Min 5 years of sales experience; particularly in B2B and Industrial Sales in the consumer electronics sector Experienced in new business development from prospecting process to conversion of prospects Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business/account plans Used to working in a multi-national, complex and matrix environment Experience of cross-functional team participation Fluent in Spoken and Written English Fluent in Spoken and Written Mandarin Technical skills: Negotiation skills with key accounts and distributors Experience with CRM systems Commercial delivery through superior direct selling experience - Preference will be given to candidate with technical knowledge of batteries/ technical selling Financial acumen Analytical skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Preferred Skills and Experience Background in Electronics Manufacturing Industries Key account management experience would be an asset Working Relationships This role reports to the Senior National Account Manager, China/HK. Key relationships internally will include Marketing Team, Demand Planning Department, Finance and Supply Chain Team.
