WH*** is hiring a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support the development, sourcing, and delivery of materials critical to our supply chain and product development efforts. As an MPM, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Design, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement, to ensure that material strategies align with business goals and timelines. You will play a vital role in optimizing material selection, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials to meet production and delivery goals.
Responsibilities: 1. Lead the end-to-end materials planning process for WH*** products, ensuring alignment with supply chain, engineering, and production needs. 2. Manage all aspects of the project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders. 3. Review CTB with CM and Supply Chain team to ensure adequate supply of components and finished goods. 4. Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance tracking, and fostering collaboration to ensure high-quality materials and reliable delivery. 5. Partner with Engineering and Product teams to identify material requirements, assess risks, and develop mitigation plans to support product development and launch schedules. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of material issues, including shortages, quality concerns, and changes in demand. 7. Maintain material forecasts, manage inventory levels, and work to minimize waste while ensuring production readiness. 8. Support product life cycle changes by planning for material transitions, obsolescence, and sustaining engineering needs. 9. Use data to monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. 10. Up to 80% travel to Shenzhen / Dongguan suppliers.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 2. 5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or program management, preferably in a consumer electronics or technology company. 3. Strong understanding of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and supplier relationship management. 4. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Operations, to align material strategies with business goals. 5. Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines. 6. Excellent analytical skills, with experience using data to drive decision-making and process improvements. 7. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships with suppliers. 8. Certification in project management is often preferred. 9. Languages- Proficiency in English.
Bonus Qualifications: 1. Experience in consumer electronics, wearables, or health technology industries. 2. Familiarity with materials used in electronics manufacturing (e.g.plastics). 3. Knowledge of global supply chain trends, challenges, and best practices. 4. Experience managing materials for new product launches in a fast-paced environment. 5.
