Due to our continued growth and customer demand, we are hiring a Category Manager. This role will contribute to the Access Network Solutions (ANS) business segment, supporting the evolution of broadband systems in ways that meet the demands of tomorrow and the future.
The Category Manager is responsible for the execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships within and across the business enterprise to achieve best total value to CommScope. Includes Category and or Commodity Management strategy recommendation and execution, supplier relationship management, risk management and supply base performance management. Individual is responsible for the complete range of sourcing activities including spend analysis, strategy formulation, and supplier quality / performance within a matrix driven organization. The Category Manager is supervised by an experienced Global Category Leader, but is expected to perform complex and time sensitive tasks with a high degree of skill. The successful candidate possesses deep technical knowledge, skill in procurement, business acumen and high ethical standards.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
61 Executes Gll Procurement Sourcing and Procurement strategy.
61 Build cost models to assess commodity strategies and to understand cost drivers.
61 Analyze global material acquisition and develop strategic recommendations for maximizing efficiencies and maintaining a high quality of customer service.
61 Demonstrate accountability and knowledge on competitor analysis, market, benchmarks, legislation and drivers of their commodities.
61 Facilitate supplier engagement to achieve business objectives including pricing, supply assurance, and risk management with the further objective of culminating in long-term agreements with strategic suppliers.
61 Develop global category strategy recommendations with aggressive targets aligned with global commodity management and business needs, and challenge and review it on a regular basis with CommScope internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
61 10+ years purchasing experience, preferably in electrical / power component industry
61 Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or related field.
61 Must have extensive knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Components (including PCBA’s, PCB’s, etc.)
61 Demonstrated and verifiable track record of driving cost savings and service improvements in Electronics and Electrical Components
61 Demonstrated understanding of cost drivers that impact Electronics and Electrical Components
61 Must be able to construct value stream industry maps and utilize advance financial techniques.
61 Must be able to effectively communicate in Mandarin both verbally and written.
61 Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written.
