Scope of Responsibility: In collaboration with the school's senior leaders, the Manager of Communications (MC) will manage, coordinate, and deliver effective and efficient communication. The MC will develop and implement a communication strategy, collecting and analysing data to ensure resources are allocated effectively. The MC promotes the school and ensures an informed community in local and international forums to support the mission and objectives of the school, managing resources to ensure clarity of message. The MC is the creative architect for all internal and external communications, supporting marketing campaigns and working closely with the Admissions Director. The MC will oversee the promotion of the SIS brand through all outward and internal communication, modelling and providing guidance and protocols to support key personnel. The MC and other communications members, as well as Admissions, are all members of the School Development Team. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 61 Develop a coherent and compelling strategy to communicate the identity of SIS to internal and external audiences. 61 Ensure consistency of messages in communication to internal and external audiences through liaison and guidance with senior administration. 61 Enhance the capability of personnel within the school to deliver effective communications. 61 Oversee the school's communications calendar and style guide. 61 Oversee and manage the content of the SIS website and maintain a strategic presence for SIS on all relevant social media channels. 61 Manage all aspects (writing, editing, collection of content, production oversight) of the formal communications, including but not limited to the Annual Report, the Weekly newsletter, End-Year Update, and special event promotions. 61 Oversee all publicity, media production, and generation of promotional material for the school. 61 Maintain an archive of news items and digital images for use online, in print, and on campus. 61 Implement digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms. 61 Organize and support school events such as movie nights, international winter bazaar, staff gala, etc. 61 Perform other duties as required by the Head of School. 61 Develop understanding and support the implementation of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Belonging (DEIJ&B) initiatives and related matters. Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Attributes: 61 Bachelor's degree in a related field. 61 Previous work experience as a communications assistant or similar. 61 Excellent verbal and written English, public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 61 Strong organizational skills, analytical ability and attention to detail. 61 Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively with all school community members. 61 Conversant with Microsoft Office 365, Finalsite, Canva, and WeChat platforms. 61 Proven proficiency in using various social media platforms or a strong desire to learn. 61 Strong editing and research skills. 61 Knowledge of related areas such as graphic design, photography, video production and social media. 61 Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage. 61 Experience in self-directed roles requiring initiative. 61 A sense of humour
