Main Purpose of Job: 1. Assist in the preparation and review of policies, procedures and training programs to ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade laws and regulations 2. Prepare and submit licenses and permits, coordinate compliance and classification efforts with internal functions/departments, and monitor existing U.S. and international regulations for changes that affect organization marketing, sales, engineering, procurement, and related activities 3. Recommend actions and practices to maintain compliance with trade regulations. 4. Deal with department routine tasks like attendance, apply for stationary, apply for price and supplier code upload and update into system and so on or other tasks assigned by manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsible for supporting regulatory compliance for sales and procurement activities in the global marketplace by developing, implementing, and refining its trade compliance program 2. Provide broad company-wide and targeted function-specific training on U.S. and international trade regulations as necessary to ensure employees are aware of regulatory requirements related to U.S. and international export laws 3. Provide internal auditing of export controls and related compliance 4. Determine, Document and Classify all Volex purchased materials with proper USA ECCN code, EU code, China export control or any other countries’ export control code, country of origin, ROHS, REACH, CCC,CMRT and so on to maintain database information that ensures accurate compliance and ensure that license and exemption/exception limitations, recordkeeping requirements, provisos, riders and conditions are met by all effected/responsible personnel throughout Volex. 5. Monitor existing and proposed US and other foreign governments export regulatory changes to determine the impact on operations 6. Prepare licenses, permits, and other authorizations as necessary to ensure compliance with U.S. and other foreign governments laws and regulations 7. Ensures ECCN and other trade compliance record is retained in system, and conducts regular periodic audits to evaluate all components of Trade Compliance 8. Deal with department routine tasks like attendance, apply for stationary, apply for price upload and new supplier code setup into system and so on or other tasks assigned by manager
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree English major, with electronic engineering or business background is preferred, 1~3 years working experience 2. Excellent in English as basis tool in written and verbal communication 3. Good in PC skills, especially in excel and PowerPoint
Subsidiary Elements: 1. General Knowledge in the fields of China, US, UK, EU and international export laws and regulations affecting domestic and foreign operations. (ie ITAR/EAR compliance and license preparation experience.) 2. Demonstrate Knowledge in a broad range of compliance matters and proven skills in administration, analysis, short-term and long-term planning, problem solving, investigation and training 3. Well communicator, good negotiator and team player 4. Self-motivated, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision, to achieve the requested qualify of assigned tasks 5.
