General Function 1. Support new program introduction (NPIs) and providing appropriate suggestion to tooling design accordingly and that are acceptable for mass production. 2. Responsible for solving process and quality problems created by the malfunction of tooling to reduce scrap and improve productivity and quality. 3. Tooling acceptance, maintenance, repair, improvement program and to ensure proper upkeep of production tooling.
Major Responsibilities 1. Provide leadership in the trial, debugging and acceptance of tooling that are acceptable for production prior to the release for mass production. 2. Day-to-day supports to the production to solve process/Quality problems created by malfunction of tooling. 3. Periodically review and update the Tooling Preventive Maintenance Work Instruction. 4. Train tooling technician on operating procedure, setting and maintenance of the tooling. 5. Provide leadership in major tooling acceptance, repairing, restoring and improvement. 6. Work closely with Production, Quality and Program Management to analyze and solve problems associated with the tooling and maintain good working relationship with peers and other functions. 7. Identify spare parts for tooling. Set-Up the spare part system in line with our existing system. Execute per Viant procedure and IQMS system requirements. 8. Organize and file Instruction Manual / Literature drawing, etc. for tooling., (DCC) 9. Be responsible for all records and documents submitted are valid and accurate. 10. Maintain a good working relationship with peers, and other functions including grievance handling. 11. Taking active involvement in executing EHS and 5S housekeeping standard and to ensure safe operation in the facilities. 12. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and knowledge requirement 1. Degree in Engineering, major in Tooling, minimum 3+ years experiences in plastic and tooling industry with multi-national company will be advantageous. 2. Hands on working experiences in plastic injection tooling and operating CNC, EDM, Lathe, Milling, Surface Grinder and etc… 3. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. 4. Matured, resourceful, meticulous to details and possess strong analytical abilities and drive. 5. Strong communication and organizational skills, and capability in self –managing projects. 6. Familiarity with SPC methodologies desired. 7. written and read English communication skill. 8. Well-versed with office software and Auto-CAD, UG preferred. 9. Have a sense of initiative, integrity and responsibility in work.
10. Team work spirit. Can do attitude & have a sense of urgency.
