POSITION SUMMARY: (Summary description of the primary duties and objectives) The Program Manager is accountable for leading development activities associated with product lifecycle management after start of production (maintenance). Managing a portfolio of project activities including quality issues, agency updates, production issues, minor product changes, alternate component qualification, etc.
POSITION PROFILE (Major duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities) 1. Communicate and coordinate within all functions of the organization, as well as with key suppliers, vendors and sometimes customers. Must be able to successfully influence internal and external contacts regarding highly complex and sensitive topics. 2. Own and lead multiple-projects. The Program Manager will use informal leadership to drive cross-functional teams for program success. Programs managed will mostly be product-oriented, but could include process and people initiatives that are highly visible and strategic. Projects likely will involve global resources. Effectively coordinate internal and external (supplier) resources locally and globally achieve project targets. 3. Facilitates and leads the scoping of new project activities including technical requirements, resource needs, and launch timing targets. 4. Creates and maintains project schedules, tracking progress toward objectives and resource levels compared to what was planned. 5. Advocates on behalf of the project to creatively solve problems affecting project delivery. 6. Guards against changes that may affect the project budget or timing, scoping the impact of any necessary changes and presents change orders to leadership for decision. 7. Ensure that program team members and other support functions own and follow BISSELL’s Global Development process. 8. Accountable for the capture of knowledge/lessons learned associated with these new projects for future reference.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: (i.e. degree, years of experience, etc.) 1. Degree minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics engineering or other technical field. 2.Specific concentration: Engineering and/or Technical degree/background preferred. 3. Experience level: Minimum of 10-12 years with extensive Project Management experience, inclusive of details noted above in the Position Profile.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: (i.e. MBA, certifications, etc.) 1.MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain, 2. MBA 3.PMP certification. 4. Preference towards three to five years in several of the following areas. Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, Information Technology. 5.Experience leading Information Technology or Internet of Things relate projects. 6. Experience building productive relationships with key business partners.

Knowledge of varying cultures and societies and the implications language, actions and behaviors can have. 11.Experience with extended travel and working in different time zones are important aspects of this position.
