Job Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates several international project (program) activities, acting as a higher-level customer contact, ensuring project (program) goals & objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget by supporting either the Project Manager (running projects) or the Application Engineer & Sales Manager (projects in RFQ-phase). Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Projects in RFQ-phase a) Main customer contact during RFQ-phase b) Supporting application engineer in concept, layout creation, costing, project schedule c) Leading concept & offer reviews with customer d) Supporting sales manager on commercial discussions and negotiations 2. Running Projects a) Higher-level customer contact b) Supporting the project manager & team incl. the design & project meetings with customer c) Support the team in active problem solving; personal care of “Hot Topics” & main risk mitigations d) Managing the additional cost & deviations together with the project team & sales manager e) Monthly project report for customer 3. General Points a) Supporting sales managers in customer relationship b) Supporting the BBS team to persuade customer on for BBS important points
Requirements: 1. Bachelor Degree or above, major in Engineering or Engineering Technology related 2. 5 years+ experience in engineering and managing customized automation / machinery projects 3. Strong management, organizational and communication skills 4. Strong computer skills — especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project 5. Excellent English skills, additional German is preferred.
Additional Notes: 1. Experienced in working or living in China and understanding of Chinese people and culture is preferred. 2. This position is based in China. Shanghai or Suzhou is preferred.
