The Fixture Engineer will develop production equipment for coating, focused on the fixtures for all applications (cleaning, handling, coating, stripping and pre- as well as post-treatment) and is member of the Global Fixtures Team. This position is accountable for leading fixture-related sub-projects applying on highest level of design to accomplish technical initiatives aligned with the coating business: Train and improve the standard application of the fixture in all centers /Prepare fixture standards and technical support /New fixture development and implementation /Support & cooperate with Global Fixture Team.
Responsibilities: Development of design solutions for components, assemblies and systems. Focused on fixtures for all applications (cleaning, handling, coating, stripping and pre- as well as post-treatment). Support the centers for fixture related activities Standardize the fixture application in the centers, introduce in/ launch the capable application in mass production and shoot the trouble during the production Design and roll-out new fixture to improve efficiency and special application Training / coaching / audit which the activities is carried out The fixture stock control support in countrywide Managing the result of the fixture related project Managing the actives of cost saving / efficiency improving / preventive control / finish the project on time All designs done according the given PDM-Process Support line supervisor or work independently to implement cost saving / efficiency improvement activities like OOE / BPP activities Close and pro-active cooperation with BEFI / BTS and the rest of the Global Fixture Team Recording and scheduling of all fixtures tasks in consultation with BEFI / BTS Regular exchange and support of Fixtures Team Global exchange: supports global Tools tasks and Platforms as per plan and decision Follows the Oerlikon Balzers GATE processes, documentations and work instruction of BEFI/BTS
Requirements: Educational qualification: Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline is required. Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Designer is preferred. Strong knowledge of 3D-CAD and experience (AutoCAD/Pro-e/SolidWorks, preferred Autodesk Inventor) Experience: 3-5years in designing precise mechanical constructions Language: Fluent in both oral and written English Good MS Office and general computer skills (PDM Windchill, JIRA, SharePoint and SAP are a plus) Good communication with people have different backgrounds and education levels.
