In this role, you have the opportunity to Responsible for E2E Project Management tasks for the MR products cross over AD (Advance Development), NPD, NPI program. Lead cross-functional teams that will be responsible for launching of new MR products. As a R&D Project Leader, New Product Introduction (NPI) this role is responsible for leading the execution of cross-functional NPI projects. This role requires significant project management and leadership skills, demonstrated by the ability to influence and lead within a rapidly evolving, cross-functional, highly regulated environment. This role also requires strong cross-functional business acumen, including technical, marketing, manufacturing, finance, quality, clinical, and regulatory-based knowledge. The Project Leader will ultimately be responsible for their team’s performance and their adherence to company procedures, applicable regulations and standards, and achieving the agreed upon project charter with Senior Leadership. The R&D Project Leader will lead project-planning activities (supported by Functional Managers and critical team members), track progress (scope, budgets, timelines, resourcing) and aggressively exploit opportunities and mitigate risks. Routine communication of progress with Leadership will be required. The R&D Project Leader may occasionally be involved at various levels with strategic issues at a department level and / or corporate level, though their primary focus will be at the team level. The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization is required. You are responsible for Managing a complicated project for a large size project teams, which require significant cross-functional involvement. Developing and managing project plans, including scheduling, resourcing, budgeting, and communication, to Product Development Leadership and Senior Leadership. Recommend course corrections to the project plan as required and build them into the plan. Develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure progress. Establish measurement and reporting framework to review progress with key stakeholders. Actively evaluating project for opportunities to improve performance; continuously monitors risk and mitigates as appropriate Motivate team and ensure the team has clear targets to enable top quality delivery the first time. Apply ongoing risk management techniques and embed mitigating actions into the project plan. Align functional and BU team activities to instill a structured, hierarchal project approach. Clear obstacle, drive decisions required to stay on schedule. Uses appropriate project management tools. Providing guidance and coaching/mentoring to team members as appropriate. Partners with non-project members as required. Develop and execute a communication plan engaging the team to drive results. Other duties as required. You are a part of A progressive and energetic team that contributes directly to the growth of the business. You have a direct reporting line to the MR R&D Project Management Leader, with Cross functional team as your key stakeholders. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience Bachelors of Science within Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical or Biomedical), but other degrees will be considered based on experience. Advanced degree is preferred (MS, PhD, or MBA). 10+ years’ working within Product Development, with a desired 5 years leading projects of increasingly complex scope. 3+ years’ experience in leading a Project Leader’s team will be a plus. Strong Project Management experience required. Generally, has been part of at least 5 new product development cycles as a Sr. Project Leader (concept to launch) Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Strong problem-solving skills required. Good communication and team work. Experience within a regulated industry required (medical devices desirable, along with knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO 13485) Strong understanding of financial analysis tools preferred. Ability to innovate cost-saving ideas preferred. Prior experience with factory setup or transfer preferred. Computer-literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
