Specific responsibilities QUALITY – Pre-start production at Raufoss - Follows up on supplier issues and ensures timely resolution. - Follows up on cost saving with suppliers to achieve Raufoss targets. - Review lessons earned on warranty, production quality improvement with other program. - Researches, new source and quality appropriate and reliable suppliers in Asia, to reduce our COGS for existing and new programs. - Leads APQP with suppliers from nomination to PPAP. - Ensures 100% compliance of purchased goods with requirements. - Participates in supplier audits and performs cost wacks to quote to ensure competiveness and adherence to annual cost reduction targets. - Participates in quality and cost improvement projects - Continuous Improvements. - Participates in various audits - IATF 16949, and order modifications and customer visits. - Supports in the evaluation and follow-up of supplier scorecards APQP SUPPORT - Preparation of quality aspects for bids (Q offer BMW) with “SQE”. - Provides support for the preparation of PPAP reports for submission and approval by OEM customers - (Production part approval process) - test reports and statistical studies. - Consults with customers' computer systems - portals. SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT- Pre-start of production phase - Performs process and quality system audits at suppliers when required (Pre- qualification, qualification, Process Control Plan, PPAP, capacity assessment, development and crisis management) - Follows up with suppliers according to the APQP to bring them to PPAP submission according to project timelines - Validates or helps to validate suppliers' PPAP reports during the introduction of new products or during engineering changes. - Supports the development of standardized quality system and process audit forms for current and potential raw material suppliers. - Develops various tools to track supplier audits and certification to applicable manufacturing standards. - Participates in the development of a quality manual for the company's suppliers at the global level. Qualifications and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, metallurgical engineering or related field - Must have 5 to 7 years of experience - MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) -essential: very good knowledge of Excel - Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) - Knowledge of metrology - Knowledge of Minitab software is an asset - Problem solving tools (6 sigma Green Belt) Essential skills required - Ability to inspect parts with conventional metrology instruments - Ability to interpret dimensional reports (from CMM) - Ability to read and interpret drawings - Mastery of statistical control - English - advanced level essential (oral and written) - Good analytical and problem solving skills - Priority management - Teamwork and collaborative spirit Displacement/Traveling Travel is related to the development and qualification of new suppliers for new projects Also in relation with the audit schedule of suppliers of serial products as well as the follow-up of quality problems.
