Responsibilities: - Create programming and operate for ZEISS CMM equipment. - Lead in measurement fixture development. - Set up and implement the measurement plan per demands collected from APTC. - Communicate with the requester and choose appropriate measurement methods to balance timing and cost. - Issue measurement report accurately and in time, assist in data analysis. - Coordinate on-going inventory of spare probe tooling for all CMM’s, ensuring that we are never down for lack of proper tooling. - Create a book to document all probe configurations, showing part numbers for all tips & extensions & special probe bar designs. - Assist with diagnostic work when part or equipment quality problems occur, both with various kinds of inspection equipment and with Calypso software, including working with programming sources such as CMS. - Goal is to solve part problems as they occur, providing improved response time, and make sure inspection equipment and part quality problems are resolved as quickly as possible. - Coordinate all preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements for CMM Equipment and other measurement testers, including calibration of equipment as necessary & any procurement of necessary spare or replacement parts such as probe tips. - Keep good 6S, complete TPM on time, report and resolve issues detected. - Other duties assigned.
Requirements: - College or above in Engineering is required, Mechanical Engineering preferred. - 5-year-experience of CMM programming and operation in automotive industry is preferred. - Be proficient in GD&T, understand mechanical drawings in English. - Be capable of programming and operating ZEISS CMM equipment. - Be familiar with automotive steering components and/or half-shaft is preferred. - Be familiar with MSA. - Be capable of using other measurement meters, for example, Mar Roughness meter and Profilometer, depth caliper, height caliper, micrometer, gear analyzer, roundness tester, surface finish machine, etc. - Good communication skills and time management. - Self-motivated, accept responsibility for assigned area.
