1. Identify and Establish Research Collaborations: Proactively seek and evaluate potential research collaborations with external institutions, companies, or research teams. Negotiate and finalize collaboration agreements, ensuring alignment with the university’s strategic objectives. 2. Technology relevant Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging technology trends, potential partners, and areas of mutual interest for collaboration. Analyze data to inform decision-making and strategy development. 3. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, fostering trust and effective communication. Manage a portfolio of collaborations, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and outcomes. 4. Business Development Initiatives: Develop and implement business development plans to expand the university’s research collaboration network. Identify and pursue funding opportunities for collaborative projects. 5. Contract Support:Provide Support for negotiating contracts when necessary, to ensure compliance with university policies and external regulations by collaborating with other relevant internal teams. 6. Project Management: Coordinate and follow up the implementation of research collaboration projects, paying attention to the status of budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management and following up with significant outputs of the projects. 7. Communication and Reporting: Communicate progress and achievements of research collaborations to internal stakeholders, including faculty, researchers, and senior management. Prepare regular reports on collaboration activities and outcomes if need. 8. Other relevant duties as assigned by the office director.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, with a strong background in research and/or business development. 2. Significant experience in managing and negotiating research collaborations. 3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese 4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research and make informed decisions based on data. 5. Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation. 7. Excellent ability to analyze and solve problems, passionate about solving challenging problems
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in funding acquisition for research projects. 2. Knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulations related to research collaborations. 3. Familiarity with the local and international university- industry research collaboration landscape.
