The Deputy Regional IT Manager will focus on managing local IT infrastructure, providing user support, and ensuring compliance with regional requirements. Additionally, Deputy Regional IT Manager will directly manage the local IT support team, maintain close communication with country business stakeholders, and coordinate closely with the core infrastructure team managing data centre and cloud infrastructure. Local Network Management: Oversee LANs within the region, including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi infrastructure. Office Hardware Management: Procure, maintain, and troubleshoot office hardware such as workstations, printers, UPS, and local servers. Office Firewalls Management: Ensure the proper configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of all local office/plant firewalls to safeguard network security and protect against unauthorized access. Service Desk & Level 1 Support Management: Lead and manage the local IT support team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. Close Communication with Country Business Stakeholders: Maintain close communication with country business stakeholders to understand their IT needs and priorities, and ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives and IDT group work plan. Local Compliance & Coordination: Ensure IT practices comply with regional laws and regulations, and coordinate with the Core Infrastructure team for policy alignment. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with local vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and oversee service delivery. Implementation of Group IDT Policies: Implement and adapt Group IDT policies, procedures, guidelines and standards to suit regional needs and contexts. Project Management: Oversee all IT projects in the region, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the Group IDT standards and business objectives. Local BCP Implementation: Tailor and implement the overarching BCP to address specific risks and requirements of the region. Develop and execute region-specific recovery procedures aligned with the Group BCP.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operational processes, service desk processes, systems, and infrastructure maintenance. Minimum of 5 years in managing teams and projects across multiple geographical locations. Strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements. Technical Skills: Must have one or more professional certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, Network+, Fortinet NSE4, Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent. Solid working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows and Linux servers. Proficiency in routers, switches, and firewalls configurations and administration. Experience with Azure cloud services including VM, VNET, and Entra ID. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. Project management experience with proven ability to deliver on deadlines, troubleshoot problems and derive solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Mandarin.
