Aptiv Job Responsibilities and Duties: Using your skills and experience in this position, you will 1. Assess purchase productive part suppliers to determine whether the supplier’s quality system is acceptable with Aptiv quality requirement 2. Perform new and existing supplier manufacturing capability assessments as appropriate; Develop action plan to close gaps 3. Approve sourcing decisions from quality perspective 4. Implement, facilitate and ensure completion of the APQP process with selected suppliers including final part approval 5. As project champion, drive overall project flawless launch activities to support APTIV Suzhou plant 6. Ensure that the supplier’s productive capacity meets divisional requirements 7. Provide technical assistance to supplier quality engineers and engineering 8. Function as liaison between supply management, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support 9. Drive continue improvement/systemic improvement at supplier site according to individual supplier annual quality performance 10. Adhere to PR/R Procedure, completion guidelines and requirements for Problem Cases issued via Problem Solver Knowledge, Qualifications, Education and Skills: 1. Knowledge 61 Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is preferred 61 Familiar with the commodity(stamping/connector/lens) process and failure analysis 61 Strong character & integrity in dealing with suppliers 61 Systematic skills of problem solving 2. Experience 61 61 More than 5 years’ work experience in Automotive industry or more than 5 years’ experience in the PCB OR mechanical commodity industry 61 Working under pressure (unavailability of proper parts information, meet datelines and cross functional tasks, etc.) 61 To be willing to learn and help others, Integrity & Teamwork & Frequently travelling 3. Capabilities 61 VDA6.3 & VDA6.5 certificate is preferred 61 Compliance with IATF16949 and core tools – APQP/PPAP/FMEA/MSA/SPC 61 Comprehensive technical English reading, writing and clear verbal communication skills are required 61 Demonstrated ability to consider both business requirements and technical needs to represent APTIV and the supplier
