Responsibilities 职位描述
The PE Assistant Teacher will collaborate with, and support, the PE Team to:

1. Deliver a full Physical Education program using the Chinese National Curriculum;

2. Plan and execute engaging, rigorous lessons on sports skills, team sports, and health and fitness, including both indoor and outdoor classes;

3. Model the learner profile attributes and a love of lifelong learning and sports to students and colleagues;

4. Create systems for and monitor student safety in the gymnasium, and other PE lesson venues;

5. Instruct students in proper care and use of sporting tools and equipment;

6. Organize storage areas and control use of materials, equipment, and tools to prevent loss or improper use, and to minimize time required for distribution and collection;

7. Maintain an active athletic program that promotes good sportsmanship and student development;

8. Meet deadlines for lesson preparation, marking, report writing, and all other administration related to the teaching of the subject(s);

9. Ensure that children compete to their ability level and are not exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports;

10. Motivate school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits;

11. Evidence each student’s growth and performance throughout the school year;

12. Evaluate and report on each student’s attainment on the written semester progress reports;

13. Document each student’s learning journey on Seesaw;

14. Establish a positive classroom environment that encourages students to be actively engaged in the learning process;

15. Teach and respond to children in a knowledgeable and adaptive way that aligns with the IB PYP philosophy;

21. Communicate with homeroom teachers, parents, and the Student Support Team on pupil progress;

22. Collaborate with the PE team to organize primary school sports days;

23. Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs, such as after school sporting teams.

Requirements 任职要求
1. Bachelor’s degree in a Sports Science or Physical Education related field;
体育科学或体育相关领域本科学历;
2. At least 2 years’ relevant teaching experience as a PE Assistant Teacher in a school setting;
至少2年在学校担任体育助教的相关教学经验;
3. Effective communication skills;
有效的沟通技巧;
4. Competence in working with a rich cultural mix of students and teachers.
与多元文化背景的学生及教师合作工作的能力。
