Main Responsibilities 主要工作职责 1. Customers and sales Works closely with sales, technical and production team in China & Germany and coordinate daily technical support to customers regarding technical issues and complaints. Organizes customer visits with reports and provide all necessary service incl. on-site production support. Acts as a bridge between business units in Germany and local customers, and provides the relevant information of customers and market timely. Works with quality team and solve the customer complaints with time measures and reduce the risk of financial loss. Builds up network and establish technical contact windows at customer side, and obtains the *** hand technical information via the technical contact windows from customer side. 2. Competence and development Develop technical competence and knowledge in the field of Diagnostics with the focus on microfluidics, including processing and analytics to enable fast reaction to the internal and external customer requirements. Execute lab measurements and testing based on requests; organize sample preparation under request of customers. Develop solutions concentrating on innovative applications in the field of Diagnostics based on glass and glass ceramics materials. Develop the foundation for new technologies / innovations in relevant field. Initiates, coordinates and conducts technical developmental work. Regularly informs clients / customers about the current status of development work (tasks) and determines next steps. Determines the feasibility of results and summarizes the evaluation results as the base for future developments. 3. Project Management & innovations Monitors and understands deeply the technology trends and advancement in the market of microfluidics. Identifies new projects with growth potential together with local sales and makes contribution based on technical expertise with the implementation of project management process. Develops new applications with clear customer orientation and business target and coordinate the execution. Drives innovations and coordinate customer workshops, IP filings with the alignment with SBFs. Observes products, development efforts and patents of potential competitors. 4. Knowledge Maintenance and Documentation Gathers information for the further development of own tasks through relevant technical and patent literature, conferences and customer contacts. Creates documentation and presentations for customer and development activities and ensures for the practical transfer of initial results to the development phase. Ensures development results through the creation of patent designs and contributes to the development of patent strategies. 5. Company policy Follows strictly company policy including EHS, equipment maintenance, lab 5s and compliance and takes personal responsibility based on the department guideline 6. Master or above (with +5-years working experience) in Materials, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. 2. Professional knowledge on microfluidics and its applications, and working experience with glass or polymers. 3. Preferred working experience as a technical role for customer application support. 4. Problem solving capability in a dynamic environment 5. Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills 6. Self-motivated with good organization skills 7. Fluent in English and Chinese, with both written and oral communication skills.
