61 Write, edit and proofread materials in both Chinese and English, including (but not limited to) stories and news articles, newsletters, media releases, social media posts, event promotion, advertising material and video scripts; 61 Develop story ideas for publication, which may include feature stories or short news articles on complex or technical topics; 61 Edit and proofread material developed by others for use in the website, news reports or any other publications noted above while ensuring accuracy, coherent messaging and a consistent voice; 61 Stories and material translation from Chinese to English and vice versa; 61 Produce videos and photographs for important events; 61 Maintain communication with PR or News agency to promote the domestic and international brand; 61 Developing and expanding media relations together with the team; 61 Coordinate works like arranging public media interviews and external visits; 61 Support UMC's other teams in University promotion and recruitment projects; 61 Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
61 Master’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related fields; 61 Native Mandarin; plus, excellent written and spoken fluency in English; 61 Excellent English and Chinese translation skills 61 Demonstrated knowledge of professional-level concept development, research, analysis, writing and copywriting; the ability to edit stories for both style and substance is a plus; 61 Ability to synthesize and coordinate materials from multiple resources; 61 Understanding of domestic and international media, social media tools, and current communication trends; 61 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a variety of other computer and internet-based tools for communication, analysis and networking; 61 Basic experience in photography with SLR cameras; 61 Be able to work at Taicang campus in AY2022-23 and afterwards.
