Major Responsibilities:
80 Plan, implement and support manufacturing capability assessments of potential new global suppliers. Involve regional resources as appropriate.
80 Work closely with buyers and other appropriate staff in the strategic development of supply base and capacity planning concerning key component families.
80 Support the sourcing process through active participation in technical reviews, communication of requirements, and assessment of potential suppliers.
80 Perform technical review and audit of supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems, and monitor supplier improvements and corrective actions.
80 Implement and monitor the part qualification and certification process with suppliers. Involve regional resources as appropriate.
80 Implement and support the change management process regarding supplier components.
80 Provide active participation and cooperation with engineering concerning product development strategies and implementation.
80 Function globally with various staffs and suppliers to coordinate/implement effective and timely resolution to quality issues.
80 Improve quality performance of suppliers by conducting workshops and/or training at supplier locations, providing technical assistance in developing quality systems, and other manufacturing technical support as required.
80 Maintain required documentation and files.

Skills and Abilities/Qualification:
80 Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities, and equipment.
80 Demonstrated ability to investigate quality problems and apply sound technical judgment to develop possible solutions.
80 Initiation and innovation in providing solutions, with a strong mind-set to welcome challenges and work under pressure
80 Proficient oral and written communication skills.
80 High level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate and facilitate others in group situations and instruct others in new techniques.
80 High level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution of problems which are unique and diverse.
80 Highly proficient in desktop computer skills
80 Must be able and willing to travel internationally, frequently at times.
80 Certification in Problem Solving methodologies, such as Shainin/Six-Sigma, 5-why, 8D problem solving tools etc.
80 Certification for IATF16949
80 Bachelor Educational Major- Engineering

Experience:
80 3 years of quality management experience (required) and automobile industry experience.
