- Is responsible for the qualitative processing of the defect reports towards supplier within agreed time frame. - Review defect reports towards supplier in accordance to the agreed guidelines. - Communicate these defect reports towards supplier and come to a mutual agreement on these concerns, in relation to responsibility, cost, RMA. - Decide upon format of feedback of supplier (e.g. 8D). - Ensure that all defect reports are processed in time. - Provide input for to create or update work instructions based on occurred defects. - Take initiative to prevent further spread of bad quality goods in the company (stock checks, …) - Take appropriate actions within the Barco organisation when Barco specs are unclear (contact with R&D; initiate i-track, …) - Provide input to IQC department for inspection criteria and frequency. - Other tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Competencies:
- At least Bachelor degree in technical domain or equal by experience. - At least 3 years in quality function or buying function (good relationship with suppliers is crucial). - Must be able to work independently with a minimal of guidance. - Good time management, planning/organization and decision-making skills. - Must be able to work well in teams with employees from all different departments on all levels. - Proficient PC skills, including electronic mail, work processing, spreadsheet, graphs, etc. - This position requires strong communication skills , the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions in- and outside Barco and to act with a solution in mind. - This individual regularly works with restricted information. - Good knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking). - Technical knowledge, can read & review the drawings.
