The position covers, as part of the global category management team, the specific commodity of electro-mechanical components (Power Supply, Fans, Modems, specific cable assemblies, ect) By maintaining the relationship with key suppliers, the role is responsible for yearly pricing negotiation by collecting volumes coming from the different manufacturing locations selected by the business units. Cost reduction initiatives, localization programs and new vendor search are all activities supported by this role in collaboration with other departments (R&D, NPI, Operations, PLM etc) Strong connection with R&D during the initial design phase to support parts selection as well as with Component engineering and inventory management to support EOL/LTB decisions. Main interface and escalation point for manufacturing location in case of shortages or lead time issues. How You'll Help Us Connect the World: 61 Manage relationship with main electro-mechanical suppliers 61 Support overall commodity strategy for it’s category with key suppliers 61 Escalation point for electro-mechanical shortages coming from manufacturing locations 61 Collect global demand and manage price negotiation with suppliers and distributors 61 Works on localization programs for cost reduction looking for alternatives in the market and collaborating with R&D supports the new product introduction 61 Supports EOL/LTB process 61 Manage contracts/agreements with subset of suppliers of responsibility Required Qualifications for Consideration: 61 Bachelor/Master in a related field required. 61 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, category management, or related field required. 61 Experience in the electronic market, EMS and contract manufacturing management 61 Excellent verbal and written skills required. 61 Must be skillful at influencing decisions and opinions, negotiating, and building consensus 61 Good organizational skills required. 61 Must have strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures. 61 Strong cooperative and team work attitude is needed 61 International travel possibly required in this position (
