Job requirements: 1.Develop, implement and improve Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and processes including emergency preparedness and fire protection, safety risk assessment and safe working procedures for all activities (Wabtec & Off-Site locations), hazardous waste management, training, ergonomics, contractor safety, and crisis management. 2.Manages and directs site in achieving Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) targets & objectives according to Wabtec guidance. 3.Drive EHS compliance through audits, process / equipment reviews and proactive risk elimination and track corrective actions to closure. 4.Maintain compliance with all applicable Waste, Water and Air regulations through required preventative maintenance of the equipment, recordkeeping, preparation of report and plans. 5.Lead efforts to maintain ISO Standards Certifications. 6.Responsible of Obtaining and Updating Operational Permits as required for submission to regulatory authorities. 7.Develop routine regulatory reports required by various environmental permits. 8.Coordinate and conduct EHS training for employee, contractors and visitors as needed. 9.Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs. 10.Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections. 11.Investigates all accidents, incidents, near misses and environmental incidents to ensure root cause analysis, containment and corrective actions are completed. 12.Report all incidents/events according to the Wabtec Incident Management Process. 13.Provide support and technical guidance to the leadership team, employees and EHS committees to assure programs are developed and effectively implemented providing safe and healthy working environments for employees on site & at customer sites. 14.Ensures adherence to health and safety guidelines. 15.Walk the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and provide support. 16.Act as the site EHS representative to third parties including neighboring companies, local councils and regulatory agencies including HSE and the Environmental Agency. 17.Work cooperatively with Global EHS Team on various projects and initiatives. Demands: 1.University degree or equivalent (Engineering/Master degree related to HSE) 2.Three plus years of experience in a similar manufacturing/industrial environment 3.Experience in HSE work 4.Experience in HSE auditing
