OVERVIEW: This role will focus on Battery Pack and Cell technologies, research, development and qualification for our product to meet our ambitious product roadmap. The successful candidate will have experience to work with top brand battery pack and cell suppliers for battery confirgration design, thermal management, nickel plate design and assembly process optimization then make our product keep safe and better performance than competitors. The successful candidate has leadership and also hands on capability to layout the test items and failure analysis procedure with supplier for battery pack and cell qualification and failure analysis. LOCATION: Suzhou Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do: 61 Leading a team for battery pack and cell technology in China and close communication to US team 61 Drive the the implementation of battery and cell strategies. 61 Support the design and development teams for consumer products from initial concept phase to mass product and on-going product support within our global development organization. 61 Review and manage the documentation for NPD as well as for on-going production. 61 Work with engineering and test teams for new battery pack and cell designing and testing. 61 Connect pack and cell suppliers, OEM factory and our engineering team to solve battery pack issue and make battery powered product mass production successfully. 61 Review the roadmap of each pack and cell supplier regularly then report to supervised team for new product development. 61 Audit the pack and cell supplier regularly with other teammates to check if the pack supplier meet our requirement. 61 Lead the analysis for pack and cell related failures in customers, OEMs to find the root cause and confirm the actions of failure are correct. 61 Training for other teams for battery pack and cell handling. 61 Be able to lead and mentor engineers and technologists. ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS: 61 EE, ME, PE work experience in battery pack / cell factory would be perferct. 61 Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. 61 Strong Driving Forward Leadership 61 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance. 61 Strong focus on maintaining accurate documentation and version control. 61 Proven ability to drive innovation in the engineering conceptualization stages by pushing technology limits while balancing feasibility criteria such as manufacturability, cost, technology risk, implementation schedule. 61 A broad view and understanding of the product development process as it relates to embedded design, and effective experience delivering products on time. 61 Solid analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, familiarity with tracking tools such as JIRA and revision control 61 Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with good sound interpersonal skills. 61 Ability to meet deadlines. 61 Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a R&D role involving the defining of battery thermal management, assembly process management, battery pack design, DOE for battery parts. 61 Strong experience in battery pack design and manufacture process. 61 Strong experience in DFMEA and PFMEA for battery pack. Education/Certifications/Affiliations 61 BS in electronics, mechanical engineering or equivalent. 61 Good knowledge of how to analysis failure of battery pack. 61 Familiarity with battery pack mechanical parts, battery management system. 61 Familiarity with compliances for battery packs. Travel Requirements 61 Be flexible for domestic and international travel.
