We are currently seeking an experienced scientist with or without managing capabilities to join our growing protein crystallography team based in Suzhou, China. In close collaboration with the various groups of Protein Science Platform at WuXi AppTec, we work on structural biology projects covering a wide variety of target classes to support our clients’ diverse research projects. Your main responsibilities will include the characterization and crystallization of protein-ligand complexes of both established and new targets, developing strategies for the optimization of protein crystals and performing data collection and structure determination. You will interact closely both with the protein purification and biophysics groups in Suzhou, Shanghai and Munich, Germany.

任职资格: Required skills 61 PhD in a structural biology with 1-5 years of postdoctoral/industrial experience in small molecule drug discovery (for Director-level, more experiences are preferred) 61 (Director-level): demonstrated accountability, management experiences, skills with accomplished milestones are required. 61 (Director-level): training staff, review and approve the data reports, coordinate the projects, arrange the resources, define the quotation structure, represent the team and platform to negotiate with the client and work with BD and PM supports, approve the final quotation, and responsible for the performances (e.g. revenue, future plans, strategies, and budget) of the platform. 61 Hands-on experience and demonstrated success of protein crystallization, optimization, data collection and crystal structure determination 61 Familiar with state-of-the-art liquid handling robotics in protein crystallization as well as mounting of protein crystals and collecting x-ray diffraction data on in-house or synchrotron radiation sources 61 Strong knowledge and understanding of biophysical methods, such as SPR, MST and DSC/DSF 61 Attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced, goal-oriented team 61 Responsible as project technical lead on multiple projects, with responsibility for project outcome and customer interaction, including developing customer relationship to grow the business Desirable skills & Experiences 61 Experience with the crystallization of membrane proteins is a plus 61 Experience with multiple hit ID, fragment-based technologies, and assays for in vitro campaigns is preferred 61 Use of molecular biology and structure prediction analysis software 61 Basic chemistry knowledge in the area of protein-ligand interactions
