61 This is a full-time position for a teacher to teach EAL classes. 61 The schedule load will likely be between 18 and 22 classes (50 minutes each) per week. 61 The teacher will be expected to create and deliver imaginative and wide-ranging units as per the requirements of the English Department. Full details of these will be entered on ManageBac, which will be used for all task-setting, with MS Teams the main supporting platform for staff collaboration 61 ManageBac will be used to provide ongoing assessment feedback and evidence of learning that is visible to parents. 61 The teacher may also serve as in additional capacity as needed, for example perhaps as a DP Extended Essay or MYP Personal Project supervisor, or CAS / SA project supervisor. 61 The teacher will work collaboratively to implement school policies, adhere to the Vision & Mission, Spirit & Values, and follow the school’s five-year Strategic Plan in relevant areas. 61 The teacher will complete the necessary and ongoing professional development requirements needed to teach their subject at MYP and DP level. 61 There are some supervision duties required (typically around 3 per week, though more if the schedule is lighter), and all teachers are also pastoral mentors to small groups of students.
