任职者将加入牛津大学化学系有机化学教授 Jeremy Robertson 的课题组（苏州）。课题组的主要研究方向是通过基因工程技术改造细胞色素 P450 酶，并将其作为生物催化剂，应用于有机化合物的选择性氧化反应。这类反应主要用于农用化学品和药物活性成分高附加值中间体的合成领域。课题组实验室位于牛津大学苏州高等研究院化学研究中心，目前团队包括 2 名Research Scientists、1 名Research Assistant（生物方向）以及 1 名实验室管理员。该实验助理职位要求应聘者具备一定的有机合成背景，主要工作包括：协助研究员开展小分子化合物的合成及生物催化氧化研究；参与跨学科实验平台的协作（涉及合成化学实验室、微生物学实验室及分析检测中心）。
课题组将为新成员提供全面的专业技能培训，包括实验操作和仪器分析方法等，助力成员快速适应并开展科研工作。
职责描述：
1.为实验室日常科研工作做准备：溶液配制，试剂和玻璃仪器的清点与采购；
2.搭建酶催化羟基化的筛选反应，处理反应（萃取），通过GC/SFC仪器分析实验结果，并向研究员汇报；
3.搭建制备级的酶催化羟基化反应，通过色谱柱分离提纯粗产物，用MS和NMR分析实验结果，并向研究员汇报；
4.操作一定量的有机合成反应（已由研究员测试过的较为安全的反应）
5.协助研究员进行反应后处理和粗产物提纯（主要通过色谱柱或制备的TLC板）
6.协助实验室管理员和组内其他成员处理日常维护工作。
The Research Assistant (RA) will work with OSCAR Research Scientists (RSs) on the selective oxidation of organic compounds by engineered variants of cytochrome P450 enzymes for applications in the synthesis of high-value intermediates and active ingredients for the agrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. The RA will report to Professor Jeremy Robertson, the joint-PI (with Professor Luet Wong) of the programme.

The RA will support the work of the RSs whose research concerns the synthesis and biocatalytic oxidation of a variety of classes of small molecules. The RSs’ research is conducted primarily within synthetic chemistry and microbiology laboratories, and a third laboratory housing the on-site analytical (e.g. HPLC, GC, SFC) and spectroscopic (e.g. MS, NMR, IR, UV, polarimetry) equipment required to confirm the identity of all compounds prepared. Thus, additionally, the RA will work with the Lab Manager and RSs to ensure, collectively, that equipment in the synthetic chemistry and analytical laboratories is maintained in good order, arranging repair and replacement where necessary, and helping to arrange the use of off-site facilities. The RA will also support the purchase and provision of laboratory reagents, gases, and items of consumable equipment; will assist in the preparation of routine stock solutions and the purification of reagents where necessary; and will work within local protocols for short- and long-term storage of research samples and the disposal of liquid and solid waste. Full training will be provided on techniques and procedures if necessary.

Responsibilities/duties
61 Run enzymatic hydroxylation reactions at screening scale, isolate products by extraction, analyse by GC/SFC, report results to RSs.
61 Run enzymatic hydroxylation reactions at preparative scale, isolate crude product mixtures, separate components by manual or automated silica gel chromatography or by SFC, analyse and identify components by MS and NMR, report results to RSs.
61 Conduct limited synthetic organic chemistry reactions, including purification and product characterisation under supervision.
61 Assist the Lab Manager, RSs and RAs to maintain tidy and efficient laboratory space, reporting any equipment or facility malfunctions.

61 具有有机化学相关的硕士学位（如果尚未毕业，但是已经提交硕士论文，或者计划近期提交论文，也欢迎参加面试）；
61 有在有机合成实验室的研究经历（包括搭建有机反应，后处理，色谱柱提纯等相关技术的操作经历）；
61 具备基础分析仪器和谱图分析的基本知识和部分操作经验，例如GC, HPLC 的操作以及NMR, IR, UV和MS的结果分析；
61 申请人应具备良好的英文读写技能，在工作中具备英文交流能力；
61 工作态度积极，独立工作能力和学习能力较优，可胜任日常工作并协调课题时间分配；

Essential:
61 Hold a Masters (MSc) degree in Chemistry or Chemical Biology (or have submitted an MSc thesis in a relevant area prior to taking up the appointment).
61 Have research experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
61 Have relevant experience with techniques such as distillation, recrystallisation, and manual chromatography (column and plate).
61 Be familiar with analytical techniques such as GC and HPLC, and compound characterisation techniques such as NMR, IR, UV and MS.
61 Communicate well in English in writing and in oral presentations.
