Major Duties 61 Responsible for the Regional spend of category management in his/her responsibility Under alignment with Global Category Manager and Business Unit, develop regional category strategy to ensure the best cost and right quality with regular supply market assessment. Work closely with Global Category Managers and Plants to ensure that strategy be implemented in the region. Ensure the regional strategy remain updated and aligned with relevant functions and business units. Lead cross-functional initiative to optimize the category management (i.e. cost down workshop, NPI). Achieve purchasing targets and support the internal planning process for the category under his/her responsibility. Report and monitor category management KPIs. Conduct sourcing projects with strategic approach. Compliance & Risk Management Ensures that the SCHOTT compliance regulations, corporate guidelines and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are obeyed and executed well. Risk management – identification and elimination of potential exposures.
Job Requirements Formal Education and Training:Bachelor degree, major in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Electronic, MBA degree is a plus.
Occupational Experience:Min. 10 years working experience and 7 years of purchasing experience in multi-national company with excellent strategic purchasing skills. Very good English communication skills is a must.
Additional Knowledge Requirements:An excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. Team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
