Job Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer reports currently to the Vice President, Product Development Engineering who is based in the USA. This individual plays a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role requires deep expertise in high voltage electrical systems (1000VDC+ and 480VAC+), along with strong communication skills to collaborate with cross- functional teams, customers, and stakeholders. This individual works on projects involving electrical power systems and should have experience with motor drives, solar PV, or related energy storage applications to develop innovative, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities: 61Assist in the development of system architectures for the next generation of Energy
Storage Systems (ESS) and mobility products.
61Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems for BESS applications.
61Specify and evaluate components such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and
protection systems for energy storage.
61Conduct system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis to ensure optimal
efficiency and reliability.
61Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC, UL, NFPA 70E). 61 Perform power system studies, including load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and grounding studies.
61Develop single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics for electrical power systems.
61Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and controls engineers to integrate energy storage systems with grid infrastructure.
61Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities for deployed
systems.
61Stay updated with emerging technologies, best practices, and advancements in BESS and high-voltage applications.
61Adhere to federal and state regulations.
61Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.

Position Qualifications:
61Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree.
61Masters’ degree preferred.
61Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in electrical system design or a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in product development for complex projects.
61Expertise in high-voltage power systems (1000VDC+ and 480VAC+), power electronics, and circuit design.
61Proficiency in power system modeling and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, PSCAD,
MATLAB/Simulink).
61Experience with lithium-ion battery systems, validation testing, and regulatory compliance.
61Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
61Ability to work in small teams with limited resources and contribute to ground-up designs.
61Experience in renewable energy, microgrids, or utility-scale power systems, preferred.
611500V design experience preferred.
61Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, and automation systems preferred.
61Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility preferred.

61Fluent in English (spoken, written, and presentation) required.
61Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 15%.
