Position A-Lab Management Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for providing support to academic staff and students in the Academy of Pharmacy. 2. Help ensure all research activities within the labs comply with Government, University and Department safety polices. Assist in developing and optimizing management policies. 3. Support academic staffs and students with the utilization of labs and equipment. Provide training on equipment usage and health and safety policies for both students and academic staff. 4. Maintain lab and equipment general tidiness, and keep a well-organized lab environment. Conduct daily and monthly lab safety inspection, conduct safety risk assessment periodically, implement corrective action and preventive action accordingly. 5. Assist in laboratory space access control management, handling application on LMP system promptly. 6. Assist with the procurement, installation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Participate in the annual fixed asset inventory. Monitor the equipment status on LIMS. 7. Participate in Academy Budget planning and postmortem. Assist lab manager with requisitions and receives, stores, inventories materials, and laboratory supplies to ensure adequate stock for laboratory. Manage the controlled chemicals according to university policies, including distribution, record, return etc. 8. Manage lab waste according to university policies, including classification, collecting and delivery. 9. Undertake other duties as allocated by Lab Manager and HOD.
Qualifications: 1. Master’s degree or above in Biology, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Pharmacy or closely related areas. 2. Advanced expertise in laboratory and equipment management. At least 2 years of experience in related fields. 3. Be familiar with biological sample management and the principles of laboratory health and safety regulations for BLS1 and BLS2 laboratories. 4. High sense of responsibility, strong team player and problem-solving capabilities. 5. Proactive and flexible but with excellent problem-solving skills. 6. Good time management, interpersonal and communication skills. 7. Good at English skills including listening, reading and writing. 8. Have passion on education work, and have a good will on serving students and staff.
Position B:Purchasing Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the procurement of laboratory reagents and consumables at the Academy of Pharmacy, provide spending analysis report. 2. Manage purchase orders (POs)throughout the order lifecycle including but not limited to order acknowledgment from suppliers, price analysis and negotiation, order placement, contract confirmation, delivery monitoring, and payment tracking. 3. Responsible for handling financial reimbursement, including but not limited to consumable expenses, publishing fees, hardware maintenance costs, etc. 4. Assist in receiving goods, expediting delivery times, and revising or canceling orders when necessary. 5. Support academic staff with consumable procurement and reimbursement processes. Maintain accurate account records and regularly update the budget owner on fund usage. 6. Assist in managing the warehouse for laboratory reagents and consumables at the Academy of Pharmacy. 7. Optimize the procurement process to reduce costs and identify opportunities for business savings where possible. Collaborate with the Sourcing and Purchasing department to sign annual agreements for reagents and consumables in accordance with procurement management policies. 8. Maintain documentation to meet internal audit requirements. 9. Undertake other work assigned by the line manager and HOD.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree or above in biology, chemistry, pharmacy and related majors. 2. At least 2 years of experience in procurement within the chemical and biological pharmacy industry, university, institutes or research center. 3. Familiarity with procurement procedures for laboratory reagents and consumables. 4. Strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative team player. 5. Proactive, honest and flexible with outstanding problem-solving abilities and cost awareness. 6. Proficient in office software, including Word, Excel, ERP systems, and other relevant applications. 7. Good at English language skills including listening, reading and writing.
