Key Responsibilities 1、Supplier Development & Qualification 1.1 Partner with SQE to identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers for mechanical parts across China and Southeast Asia. (e.g., castings, machined parts, stamped components) based on technical, commercial, and strategic criteria. 1.2 Conduct technical reviews of suppliers’ manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering drawing compliance. 2、Supplier Base Management 2.1 Optimize the supplier portfolio through regular performance assessments (quality, delivery, cost), audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. 2.2 Implement cost-control strategies, including annual price negotiations, value engineering, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis. 3、RFQ & Procurement Execution 3.1 Lead RFQ processes, including technical discussions, price negotiation, and contract finalization. 3.2 Manage sample validation, project timelines, and ensure on-time delivery for new product introductions (NPI). 4、Cross-functional Collaboration 4.1 Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve supplier-related issues and improve delivery/quality performance. 4.2 Proactively mitigate supply chain risks and drive root-cause analysis for defects or delays. 5、Additional Duties Support ad hoc tasks assigned by the sourcing Manager, such as market research, cost benchmarking, and process optimization.
Requirements 1、Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. 2、Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical component procurement/sourcing, preferably in [industry, e.g., automotive, industrial equipment]. 3、Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, die casting, welding). 4、Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. 5、Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and PPAP/APQP processes. 6、Supplier Negotiation: Proven ability to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality. 7、Problem Solving: Skilled in root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. 8、Project Management: Track record of managing RFQs, samples, and deadlines effectively. 9、Interpersonal communication and teamwork. 10、Goal-oriented mindset with strong execution capabilities. 11、Proactive, responsible, and risk-aware approach. 12、Customer focus and commitment to excellence.
