Job Description-Purpose:
We are looking for a Technical Buyer specializing in electronic components to strengthen our purchasing team. Based at our business unit in Suzhou, China, your main mission will be to optimize the supply of electronic components used in our PCBA, by identifying more competitive alternatives—either strictly equivalent or with some flexibility depending on technical requirements—and by negotiating secured supply contracts.
Main Responsibilities:
61 Research and analyze electronic components that meet the required technical specifications. Ensure the rationalization of these for our different products.
61 Identify alternative supply sources to reduce costs without compromising quality.
61 Contact and negotiate with component suppliers to obtain competitive offers and secure supply contracts based on annual volumes.
61 Regularly analyzing supplier offers to optimize costs and ensure component availability.
61 Collaborate with our PCBA suppliers to optimize the supply chain and challenge their proposals.
61 Work closely with our R&D teams based in Belgium, Luxembourg, and India.
61 Conduct market and technology monitoring to anticipate trends and supply chain risks.
61 Evaluate and resolve supply chain issues.
61 Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards in the electronics industry.
61 Ability to analyze total cost (Lead time & Logistic) of global supply chain.
Profile Sought:
61 Degree in Power Electronics (associate, bachelor’s, or equivalent).
61 Experience in sourcing and/or purchasing electronic components or a similar function.
61 Work experience is at least 3years in PCBA manufacturing.
61 In-depth knowledge of electronic components and the ability to read and understand technical specifications.
61 Familiarity with purchasing management tools (a plus but not mandatory).
61 Strong contract negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
61 Ability to work independently and challenge suppliers.
61 Fluent English (B2 level) required to interact with international teams.
