Role & Responsibility:

61 As a senior technical expert of the Digital Engineering Team, responsible to engineer the controls & digital system architecture, develop technology roadmaps, and produce high-level engineering requirements, processes, and tools that guide product design engineering efforts.
61 Strategic Technology and Design owner for the future digital implementations including the design, architecture, and code on both embedded and AWS Cloud platform.
61 Participate in Internal Product Design reviews as a technical expert and review design proposal to ensure design integrity and compliance.
61 Develop strategic partnerships with external engineering & technology partners to develop strategies and road maps for technology integration within our product portfolio.
61 Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners from the Controls, Equipment and Digital PGTs to understand product performance requirements and align the product technology roadmap and requirements to meet the customer expectations and create multi-year technology roadmaps.
61 Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to ensure that Cybersecurity policies and practices are adhered to by the engineering processes and system architecture.
61 Work closely with global engineering teams to leverage expertise where available to design and develop products to improve speed-to-market.

Qualification:
61 Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Software Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent technical experience).
61 10 years minimum experience in Engineering roles focused on product development, including at least 5 years of previous experience with Architecture, Design, or Systems Engineering in the context of Cloud/IoT technologies.
61 Embedded design and implementation are preferable, ideal candidate should be able to code in embedded systems, integrate Trane’s control systems with the digital IoT platform using popular protocols such as Modbus, Lon Talk, BACnet and MQTT/JSON.
61 Experience in coding with multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.
61 Experience in architecting solutions using AWS Cloud native technologies such as, AWS Amplify, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito and AWS AppSync is required.
61 Experience/Knowledge in AWS technologies such as: CloudWatch, GraphQL, Grafana, API Gateway, IoT Core, IoT Device Shadow, IoT Rules, CloudFormation Template is preferred.
61 Experience in architecting “infinitely scalable” solutions.
61 Knowledge/experience in AI/ML is desirable.
61 Experience with multiple product development methodologies (e.g. stage gate, iterative, spiral, waterfall, or Agile).
