Position Summary The role will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from business case through to completion. Lead a cross functional team and execute on the business case requirements by utilizing Skyjack’s APQP framework. Manage project risk with clear and transparent communication to senior management. A key point of contact with China for all project related activity.
Performance Expectations · Take new products from the concept to production following a defined 6 Phase/Gate process model. · Manage other engineering or manufacturing projects outside of the phase gate model as assigned. · Lead cross functional teams and activities in support of project objectives. · Help establish project budgets and track progress against the project financial plan. · Establish project schedules with cross functional teams and track progress. · Direct escalation of project issues and develop recovery plans as appropriate. · Facilitate regular team (APQP) meetings and other recurring or ad-hoc meetings. · Regular reporting of project status to senior management, highlighting cost, timelines, critical path analysis and risks. · Keep records, transmit information to other departments.
Minimum Requirements · Degree qualified (engineering / technical degree preferable). · Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project management role.
Desired Characteristics · Project management certification. · A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, OEM mobile or industrial equipment preferred. · Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project management role. · Possess excellent Leadership skills to motivate team members, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues as required. · Possess excellent time management skills and ability to self-manage effectively. · Possess excellent analytical / problem solving skills to help facilitate decisions affecting the project. · Possess excellent communication and presentation skills for project status reporting to senior management and other stakeholders. · Intermediate to advanced proficiency in all applicable software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office including Project). · Good command of speaking and writing skills in English.
