1.0 Position Summary 1.1 In charge of sales activities for Skyjack businesses in China, the Sales Manager should be responsible for assisting the delivery of the Sales Plan for the assigned areas and monitoring sales team.
2.0 Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other related duties may be assigned) 2.1 Plan, Organize and Control · Responsible to achieve the growth targets of the business; responsible for maintaining and strengthening key customer relationships at the second tier of the customer organization in coordination with the Sales VP Asia, who will maintain pre-existing relationships with key political figures in the region, and responsible for pursuing tenders and supporting the winning of identified project opportunities; · Responsible for assisting all negotiations with the customer and for being a primary interface with customer representatives in contract discussions. · Lead a team to act as day-to-day liaison with customers during project execution, are provided with updated market/customer information and for identifying potential opportunities and responsible for assisting the development of White Books and Blue Books. · Develop new businesses per defined Yearly Sales Goal while sustaining currently running businesses. He/she has to establish and maintain contact with OEMs, Tier 1s including their engineering, purchasing, SQA and other functions. · Coordinate and lead the quotation process, Coordinate all customer related issues incl. overdue AR chasing, price adjustment negotiation and cost tracking, contracts and terms & conditions review etc. · Collect marketing and competition information and prepare for related Sales strategies for management decision. · Keep close networking and share infos with Linamar global sales team to achieve a synergic effect when approach customers in different regions. 2.2 Monitor Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures · Ensure compliance to Policies and Procedures as detailed in the Standard Practice Manual 2.3 Communications · Communicate in both oral and written form · Communicate effectively with appropriate personnel in Materials Control, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and if required the POC team · Ensure accurate and ongoing feedback to suppliers to maintain and improve relations · Communicate status of PPAP approval to suppliers · Communicate company requirements to suppliers until problems have been resolved to our satisfaction · Communicate effectively with a group · Give precise instructions and pass information accurately 2.4 Training and Development · TS/EMS Awareness · Participate in training as required to maintain and enhance skill level · Identify internal training needs including areas that are supplier related 2.5 Health and Safety · Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations · Follow company safety rules · Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used/worn or not worn in accordance with the facility’s Health and Safety rules and regulations: o safety shoes o safety glasses o and hearing protection · Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to your Supervisor or Manager immediately · Report any illness or injury to your supervisor or manager · Report to your Supervisor or Manager any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations or Company policy · Maintain a clean and safe work area and notify your supervisor/manager of any known hazards 2.6 Quality Systems · Ensure compliance with current quality and environmental standards
3.0 Organizational Relationship 3.1 Manage Linamar customer interface internally to deliver agreed customer requirements through a cross functional approach 3.2 Gather market information and enhance Linamar’s reputation through the development of positive relationships with the relevant contacts in the organization
4.0 Performance Measurement 4.1 Degree to which above specifications are met and maintained 4.2 Degree of continuous improvement with respect to their job 4.3 Degree in the maintaining or reducing costs while at the same time maintaining or improving quality. 5.0 Background and Qualifications 5.1 A bachelor degree in engineering plus knowledge of business and commercials.
6.0 Plant Specific 6.1 Strong support LPS when required 6.2 Chinese as mother language, fluent English. 6.3 Background of transmission and engine will be preferable 6.4 About 10 years experience in a automotive industry. 6.5 Good market knowledge, entrepreneurial and analytical working, and ability to cooperate with an international team.
