Job Summary The Engineering Excellence & DevOps team sitting in Technology Strategy & Architecture organization are seeking an Engineer with 8 or more years of experience to work on Service bench platform and Plugins development.
Key Responsibilities 1. Strategy Understand the bank’s application platform strategy and implementing automation solutions to deliver the bank’s application platform strategy. 2. Business This role will work alongside with our Service Bench Management team to build industry leading feature capability. 3. Processes Understand the bank’s software delivery processes and implement solutions in line with the bank’s compliance and security requirement. 4. People & Talent Work collaboratively with a team of diverse engineers in sprint delivery. Produce technical documentation and prepare training materials on the solutions being delivered and provide technical support. Conduct briefing and/or training sessions to application delivery teams to help them get onboarded and accelerate adoption. 5. Risk Management Understand bank’s risk management framework and embed that into the technology solution being delivered. 6. Governance Understand bank’s software delivery & quality assurance framework and assist in solutioning in respective governance activity. 7. Regulatory & Business Conduct 1) Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 2) Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Qualifications 1. Discipline - to chase down solutions to resolution, to deliver quality The hard: 1. 8+ years of experience working as a software engineer 2. API development & own API technical implementation in a scrum team 3. Design & development of cross functional API & multi-platform application systems 4. Experienced developer who developed REST API, serverless and event driven applications, FaaS 5. Hands-on experience in Java, Quarkus, GraphQL, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin 6. Collaborate with other platforms to ensure integrated end-to-end design & delivery of projects. 7. Experience in micro services architecture 8. Experience with cloud services such as AWS EC2, Azure AKS as well as container platform such as Docker and Kubernetes 9. Experience in DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible 10. Experience with KNative, Hasura, JWT, Helm 11. Experience with Test Management tooling such as Azure DevOps Test Plan is highly desirable 12. Experience with Unix and Windows host operating systems, scripting (Bash/Shell or PowerShell) & networking is desirable Highly Desirable: 1. Full-stack development experience 2. Breadth of technical knowledge – operating systems, networking, distributed computing, cloud as well as development tools
