Description: A Digital Control engineer learns the practical application of engineering principals and achieves expertise in Digital Control Engineering as part of a team. 02The Digital Control Engineer is responsible for implement digial control in FPGA release solutions.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Designing at least one of the following electrical components and interconnects: digital, FPGA Engaging in all phases of new product introduction, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the MR Product line Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships
Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications:
MS or PhD in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years experiences on electronics R&D in healthcare, automation, or telecommunication industry Demonstrated technical leadership capability in FPGA design and digital control loop design Good capability on electrical design tools and simulation tools Quartus, ModelSim, Matlab, etc Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills Strong sense of ownership Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets Excellent oral and written communication skills, and global project experience Understand design process well
