1. Responsible for gear design and development. 2. Responsible for application and type selection of gear parts. 3. Responsible for Design Release Review (DRR) of gear parts. 4. Responsible for Technical Feasibility Communication with suppliers for prints and specifications, cooperating with GSM and Quality cross function departments. 5. Responsible for creating and maintaining Gear Parts DFMEA, shall use the related product’s DFMEAs, Product Safety Goals, and the SC Master List to identify component-level special characteristics (SC’s) in accordance with the Special Characteristics Procedure. 6. Responsible for creating and maintaining the component Design Criteria Checklist (DCC) and SOR. 7. Responsible for developing, utilizing, and maintaining the process, methods, and tools required to design and develop a component to meet the functional requirements. 8. Responsible for establishing and documenting best practices for Gear Parts as a result of lessons learned, design analysis, validation testing, performance improvements, 8D’s, warranty returns, customer complaints, or cost reductions. 9. Responsible for identifying the validation plan required to prove the Gear Parts meet all functional requirements and to confirm the results that are predicted by the design analysis. 10. Provide timely technical feedback to suppliers as needed to meet the overall performance and timing requirements of Gear Parts. 11. Global support of Gear Parts design.
Qualifications & Requirements 1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or Automotive Engineering is required 2. At least 5 years’ experience in Gear Parts application and development is required 3. Planetary gear design experience is bonus point. 4. Gear modification skill is required. 5. Should be skillful of using MASTA, Kisssoft. 6. Good knowledge to utilize 3D CAD software (NX, Catia) for 2D and 3D design releasing 7. Good cooperation, communication and organization capabilities 8. Good written and spoken English is required
