13Job Summary: · This position is part of the global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team that execute the strategy and vision of Garrett product manufacturing defining the processes, methods and standards applied across plants. · She/He is responsible to define the manufacturing processes of Garrett Zero Emission Technologies (ZET) products, like fuel cell electric compressors, coolers, electric drive systems. · Need to drive Manufacturing Readiness Level deliverables thru NPI process with support of technology experts and manage the on-time development, validation and delivery of new manufacturing capabilities with plant manufacturing engineering team.
Job Responsibilities: 1. New Product Introduction (NPI) 61 Drive on time publication of Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) deliverables thru NPI Phase 1 to 6 and establish initial Risk assessment on new product Manufacturability, track progress and updates thru all NPI phases in collaboration with Advanced Technology leaders for any new technology introduction (module + lead application) 61 Support NPI teams and Engineering to capture new technologies in NPI Ph1-6 and consolidate requirements 61 Attend *** prototype build events and report manufacturing roadblocks and opportunities for product design improvements 61 Attend Phase Exits and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews with Product Engineering and Product Assurance 61 Drive Make analysis, summarize Manufacturing Plans (process flow, kpis) & consolidate Capex need (Equipments, tooling's) 61 Drive initial creation of Generic Process FMEA, evaluate risks and define action plan to reduce RPN scores 61 Validate ODT & PPAP results 61 Support definition and maintenance of documentation for technology systems and processes (Process Instructions, Quality Control Inspection) 61 Update Design For Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines for new technologies 2. Manufacturing processes development 61 Cooperate with Advanced Technology Leaders to define the manufacturing equipment's and processes for Electrical Assemblies (electric motor inverters assembly) 61 Define specification book for new manufacturing lines introduction and line upgrades 61 Drive manufacturing line development with suppliers, ensure design reviews and validate equipment's thru acceptance test phases 61 Conduct Handover with plant Manufacturing Engineering and NPI team by supporting installation, commissioning and validation of new processes 61 Support AME Technical Managers in defining the strategy & vision over AOP and STRAP by proposing technical roadmap & related capital investment 61 Drive globally the standardization of manufacturing processes with plants 61 Define & implement projects to improve HSE, Quality, equipment efficiency and productivity using Lean mindset 61 Support panel supplier strategy for equipment's purchase and implementation 61 Support Garrett plants acting as a technical professional to sort recurrent issues on processes, equipment, tools, quality and HSE and NPI.
Job Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's in manufacturing engineering or electrical engineering or Mechatronic Engineering 2. Minimum 5+ years of experience as Manufacturing engineer in companies building e-motors inverters, ECU or control units, control panels & boards, electric & electronic consumer products, robots, etc. 3. Ability to develop an effective project plan and control strategy for his own work 4. Experience with cross functional interactions of multi skilled & cultural organization and people 5. Knowledge on manufacturing processes: Assembly, Screwing, PCB assembly, Selective Soldering (iron, laser), Sintering, Bending and Cutting, Conformal Coating, PCB Cleaning, Resistance Welding, Adhesive Dispensing, Gluing, Adhesive curing, Electrical Testing, End of Line Testing, Traceability, Quality control, Digital Factory 6. Capable on program management tools (project tracking, planning) 7. Demonstrated English written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with individuals of all disciplines and levels 8. Effective communicator, able to drive and solve conflicting situations, problem solving & Lean mindset
