Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our team and take ownership of testing and validating 1.6T Optical Modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical module testing, automation, and quality assurance, ensuring that our products meet high-performance and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test automation for 1.6T optical modules. Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on coherent optical transceivers. Utilize high-speed test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, bit error rate testers (BERT), oscilloscopes, and optical power meters. Collaborate with R&D, hardware, and firmware teams to troubleshoot and resolve product issues. Automate test procedures using scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW. Analyze test data, generate reports, and provide feedback for design improvements. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as OIF, IEEE, ITU-T, and Telcordia. Work closely with manufacturing teams to support production testing and validation. Drive continuous improvements in test methodologies, efficiency, and accuracy.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Candidates with 2+ years of experience. Prior experience in automation testing is preferred, with hands-on knowledge of frameworks like Robot Framework and unit test being a significant advantage. Experience in optical module or coherent optics testing. Strong understanding of DWDM, coherent optics, DSP, FEC, and high-speed optical communications. Hands-on experience with high-speed test equipment and automated testing frameworks. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages for test automation. Familiarity with 1.6T client transceiver standards and industry specifications. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Excellent new graduates may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing test development for optical modules. Knowledge of network protocols, Ethernet, and high-speed interconnects. Familiarity with cloud-based test environments and data analytics tools.
