The Purchasing Professional will be responsible for managing the purchase orders by planning material requirements utilizing the updated system as well as executing any required plans. They are also responsible for performing follow-ups on purchasing orders sent to external suppliers.
Job Description General Responsibilities 61 Leads in the maintenance of updated purchase records 61 Responsible for making purchases of urgent materials and/or transportation service for materials or products inside the city or to other locations 61 Leads the tracking and recording of functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness 61 Responsible for interviews of sales representatives and researches companies to develop new sources of supplies and secure favorable terms for the company 61 Leads with crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms
Experience / Qualifications 61 A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. 61 Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands 61 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation 61 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results 61 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity 61 Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards 61 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) 61 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
