As a member of Asia Engineering team, the Principal Software Engineer will be responsible to lead software development to support Asia business growth. This person will report to the electronics engineer manager. The Role Key responsibilities include the following: ? Technical interface to customer for electronics, create and present technical presentations, review and negotiate the software requirements with customer. ? Understand the product / system requirements and architecture designs, prepare software requirements using Requirements Engineering Tools e.g., Doors Next generation ? Be the voice of customer to Pune for software. ? Contributing to the preparation of quotes for the software part. ? Be resident in customer office during software integration testing. ? Supports SW development, analyze and solve technical problems, and manage and prioritize the software open issues. ? Review’s software hardware interface specification. ? Review’s software test specification and software implementation, Ensure software implementation meets software design expectations ? Continuous improvement closing gaps in software test coverage ? Test each software candidate with plant, focusing on end of line test integration. ? Meeting the quality procedure as per automotive standards ? Co-ordination with the project team and support project owner on task estimation and planning ? Support software for prototype samples for demonstration and innovation ? Available of domestic and global travel. ? Training team members to improve team member software skills. Qualifications ? Educated to degree level in an electronics engineering discipline. ? Should have 7 to 12 years of experience in automotive software development. ? Skilled on office application (outlook, word, PowerPoint, excel, and so on). ? Fluent English both written and verbal, CET-4 or above ? Teamwork and good communication skills. ? Creative and innovative. ? Capable of leadership and team management skills. ? Familiar with automotive electronics development process and V-module. ? Strong in C, assembly programming. ? Skilled on software requirements analysis and documentation. ? Experience in using tools like IBM DOORS or MKS-PTC or Enterprise Architect, SVN, JIRA. ? Experience on 8/16/32-bit micro-controllers / processors and their architecture, familiar with NXP S32K1/S32K3 is a plus. ? Experience in different communication protocol like CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C ? Understanding the hardware design and related requirements and schematics ? Experience in firmware / middleware development for 8/16/32-bit processors ? Experience of using debuggers, test equipment like DSO, function generator and tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, Vectorcast ? Experience in using scripting language like PERL, CAPL, Python ? Knowledge in RTOS and non-RTOS based software development ? Experience in workflow for SDLC, V-model ? Should have knowledge on software testing ? Analytical, problem solving and debugging skills ? Good knowledge of functional safety for automotive domain ? Good knowledge of AutoSAR/Cyber Security/ UDS/ CAN network management ? Good knowledge of A-Spice Advantages Of Working at Lear ?
