1. Design, develop, and implement automation systems, control strategies, and robotic solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, analyze requirements, and develop project plans for automation initiatives. 3. Program, configure, and troubleshoot automation systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and industrial robots. 4. Introduce AI technologies into our plant and develop and train the AI apps which will dramatically improve our process efficiency and quality. 5. Integrate automation systems with existing manufacturing equipment, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility. 6. Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for automation projects, and provide recommendations for implementation. 7. Collaborate with equipment vendors and suppliers to select appropriate automation technologies and ensure successful integration and performance. 8. Develop and implement testing and validation protocols to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems. 9. Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams regarding automation systems operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. 10. Monitor and analyze performance data from automation systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. 11. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation engineering, and make recommendations for continuous improvement. 12. Comply with ESH policy and procedure, implement ESH responsibilities, carry out ESH activities, keep all operations in line with ESH requirements and deliver ESH performance; 13. Other works assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in automation, electrical, or mechanical engineering. A master's degree is a plus. 2. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems within a manufacturing environment. 3. In-depth knowledge of industrial automation technologies, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and robotic systems. 4. Good knowledge and experience with industrial AI and big data is preferable. 5. Master at least one programing language (Java, C# or Python). 6. Experience in integrating automation systems with manufacturing equipment, such as conveyors, robotic arms, and assembly lines. 7. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex automation issues and propose effective solutions. 8. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
