Objectives of position: The main task of Operational Purchasing is to efficiently ensure material availability at optimum cost. This is achieved primarily through communication and problem-solving capabilities along the P2P process, constructive supplier management, rapid scheduling and order quantity optimization.
Job description: Ensuring security of supply - Obtaining and reviewing offers for the purchased parts to be procured - Conducting contract negotiations and concluding contracts - Coordinating proposed changes to the procurement specifications with the development departments - Follow-up of orders and corresponding reporting - Organization and handling of complaints about purchased parts - Continuous minimization of procurement costs - Push standardization - Enable volume pooling and exploit associated synergies - Implementation of category-related purchasing strategies at regional level - Maintain supplier relationships - Manage supplier contracts
Requirements: - commercial apprenticeship or bachelor's degree in supply chain management - At least 3 years of experience in operational purchasing - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Experience in contract negotiations - Knowledge of written and spoken English, other languages are welcome - Willingness to travel occasionally - SAP knowledge - Supplier selection - Contract management - Price negotiations
