Key Responsibilities: 1.Responsible for a product team’s productivity and re-allocates resources to manage workload as needed 2.Manage production delays and ensure no unauthorized subcontracting occurs 3.Manage cross functional partnerships to ensure on time delivery and production 4.Identify new business opportunities to support company growth 5. Lead the department to establish and maintain strong working relationships with production management and suppliers 6.Manage capacity across factories to ensure on time delivery and maintain compliance standards 7.Meet with factory production and management teams regularly to identify production issues and resolve problems that will impact delivery 8.Oversee all lab dips, embroidery, printing, etc. to ensure standards and requirements are met and NY has received the submits with their comments 9.Oversee sample tracking and order delivery, communicate issues as needed 10.Act as a liaison between buyers and factories/suppliers to ensure order standards and due dates are met 11.Place and manage orders and re-orders as requested by NY buying team 12.Train and develop direct reports 13.Special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities/Education: 1.Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising or related field 2.6-8 years of experience in a garment factory or agency (direct merchandising experience a plus) 3.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel) 4.Fluent in English (both written and verbal) 5.Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail 6.Strong follow up skills and the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively 7.Prior team management experience required (ability to lead, manage and develop a team).
