Responsibilities: Category Buyer: 61 Map future needs and leverage KA spend to maximize benefit for KA 61 Develop and propose Category Strategy for assigned (sub-)category and region 61 Establish a base of preferred suppliers, and secure that suppliers from low cost regions are identified where possible. 61 Supplier relationship management 61 Capture savings 61 Implement sourcing strategies for the categories 61 Establish good contracting and acceptance practices 61 Prepare and submit RFQs (based on input from Project Buyers related to NPI projects) 61 Lead supplier negotiations and select suppliers in accordance with defined process and strategy 61 Monitor adherence to commercial agreements, performance and capacity of suppliers 61 Manage tooling cost improvements, orders and registration processes 61 Perform PPV-/ Non PPV reporting for area of responsibility 61 Updating ERP system with monthly / quarterly price changes 61 Manage Supplier Feasibility Evaluation 61 Ensure Supplier data is maintained in ERP system and Vendor Portal Global Category Buyer Same as for Category Buyer, but with a global scope for one or several (sub-)categories. Regional Category Manager Same as for Category Buyer with the additional tasks: 61 Lead the team of category buyers in the region 61 Ensure personal objectives for the team that are in line with the overall targets defined for the Purchasing function and KA 61 Develop the right competencies within the team to deliver overall objectives Requirements: 61 Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in Engineering and/or Business Management 61 Successful, multi-year track record in Purchasing 61 Strong negotiation skills 61 Good problem-solving and analytical skills 61 Production technology understanding, specifically in automotive 61 Strong communication skills 61 Passion for reducing cost 61 Excellent in technical English language, written and spoken.
