Major Responsibilities: 61 Manage cost accounting activities/team and in charge of cost control methods within a business unit/group. Develop and maintain standard cost system needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management. Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. 61 Develop the product price list. Conduct extensive research and compiles product cost statements. Conduct break-even analysis to determine the most efficient quantity of a product at most efficient cost. 61 Coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts; investigate cycle count variances and resolves issues. Evaluate, review and ensure that proper approvals are obtained for the disposition of obsolete inventory. Maintains controls and sets processes for the proper disposition of obsolete and scrap material. 61 Review or develop cost standards for materials, labor and overhead. Evaluate and make recommendations to reduce costs and effectively produce a quality project at the best cost possible through analysis of variable and overhead costs, raw products used, and labor. 61 Analyze major capital acquisition proposals for cost savings and payback periods. Establish expense budgets for manufacturing. 61 Oversee month-end cost accounting close.
Required Education / Experience / Skills: 61 Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience 61 Accounting Certification Preferred (ex. CMA, ACCA) 61 Costing experience over 5 years in manufacturing 61 EPR system experience (SAP, Oracle preferred) 61 Good communication skills
