The mechanical engineer for magnetic bearing is responsible for design, manufacturing and service of magnetic bearings (AMBs) and/or high-speed compressor motors.
This role requires interaction with global engineering team, factory production and service in order to ensure product development, VAVE or sustaining goals set forth by the business.
what you will do:
1.Participate in designs of AMB bearings to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability and service of new release or improvements.
2.Lead design visualization efforts with 3D CAD models and essential components, assembly details to ensure global and local design documentation release incl drawings, BOM, test standards.
3.Develop technical design analysis incl GD/T, RDA and electromagnetic calculation for magnetic bearing/motor system.
4.Designs fixtures, tooling and processes to support manufacturing.
5.Provides ***-level support and troubleshooting of factory and field issues related to AMBs.
6.Coordinates Design for Manufacturing activities in support of design development.
7.Participates in product testing, utilizing company procedures and methodologies.
8.Collaborates with other staff members in product VAVE activities.
9.Ensures thorough and robust design documentation for manufacturing.
10.Maintains adherence to JCI and Salem MBT product design procedures.
11.Supports the regional manufacturing team and/or field technicians as needed.
12.Solves problems at the engineering and production levels.
13.Maintains a safe working environment and supports a zero-harm culture.
14.Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Physical Demand:
This position may involve routine international travel to USA at some frequency. Shorter term training is expected in USA once on-board. Willingness and ability to travel, including globally as required.
what we want:
1.Bachelor degree and above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineering.
2.7+ years experience in magnetic bearing/compressor or motor industry.
3.Familiar with magnetic bearing structure, work theory and manufacturing process.
4.Proficiency in magnetic bearing design, simulation, motor knowledge and frequent problem-solving.
5.Demonstrated capability of RDA design and calculation.
6.Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration and influencing skill.
7.Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
8.Ability to independently perform basic research of background information that is relevant to a development program.
9.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently.
10.Possess high proficiency in basic off and data analysis software incl Microsoft Word/Excel/PPT, and CAD Software such as Pro_E/Inventor.
11.Fluent English in speaking, writing and reading English.
