As a member of Asia Finance team, the Regional Cost Engineer will be responsible to identify material and tooling cost to support Asia business growth. This person will also partner with China Finance and regional Engineering team to develop cost strategies and achieve objectives for target markets. Based at Lear’s Malaysia HQ this full-time position will report to the Commercial Finance Director, Asia Seating

The Role
Key responsibilities include the following:
1. Manage followings of projects:
2. Product quality improvement
3. Product function improvement
4. Cost down
5. Capacity optimization
6. Production transfers
7. In-source/Re-source of product
8. Design change (ECN)
9. Lead VAVE workshop and tracking to realize the activities.
10. Lead, supervise and motivate team members, managing actively conflicts and seeking solutions to ensure good teamwork
11. Cooperate with cross functional departments in Wuxi and other global plant
12. Communicate directly with customers to coordinate projects
13. Support Sales Department in gathering information to prepare offers for customers
14. Manage Product Improvement Processes projects and Continuous improve
15. Conduct and implement all project activities defined in the Company project management system with support of a project team, including planning, monitoring, controlling, communication, organizing and leading frequent project meetings, reporting
16. Support another urgent case to keep plant run smoothly
17. Work with functional team to make the new projects launch on time
18. Coordinate with all functional team to achieve plant OIP Target.
Qualifications
83 Knowledge
- Fluency in write and oral English
- Education Bachelor in Electronic or mechanical
- Computer skill: Be good at related office software (word, excel, PowerPoint, CAD)
- Familiar with 5 tools (MSA, SPC, FMEA, APQP&PPAP)
- Communication skill with functional team
83 Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive business as Project Manager, Launch Manger, Quality or Production Engineer,
- Proactive, self-motivation and willing to work under pressure
- Brilliant problem-solving skills, with the ability to find ways to work under pressure and make deadlines
- Expertise in MS Office and MS Project software
- Proficiency in project management, with good analytical and organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to organize and prioritize tasks, make appropriate decisions, and be comfortable in a setting where schedules and priorities change from time to time
- Strong personality to drive actively projects and achieve targets
- Good leadership capabilities and ability to work with all levels of organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to find ways to work under pressure and make deadlines
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and suppliers, who may occasionally be difficult to deal with
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principals
- Specialization in mechanical engineering will be a plus
- Skills in using CAD and ERP software will be a plus
