What You Will Do: Role definitions and responsibilities Responsible for facility performance levels to corporate targets for dock to POU flow improvement and warehousing management and improved order-to-delivery results. Leads facility efforts to develop and implement the Plan for Every Part, Pull material Replenishment and improved throughput efficiency. Direct Reports include Supply Chain Planning Analysts, Specialist. Responsible for supervisor of a team working to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focused on material flow improvement, increased material response time, improve warehouse storage density and improved order-to-delivery results. The incumbent is the supervisor of a team working on the deployment of the Supply Chain Planning Process, which develops the Plan for Every Part and Pull Replenishment methods for a facility. Incumbent is required to work effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams in order to apply the supply chain planning process and lead team efforts to develop lean material flow plans for a facility, which may include implementing changes to factory floor layout and material presentation at the point of use. Incumbent will supervisor others who are doing the following: 1. Gathering and analyzing data on facility demand and demand variability for each part required for production based on daily demand. 2. Manages and analyzing data on facility warehouse capacity variability including storage capacity, manpower and equipment required for production based on daily demand. 3. Develops material flow plans for all material coming into a facility for production. Incumbent reviews, analyzes and cleans data prior to migration it into the PFEP Web Tool. 4. Leads the work of Supply Chain Planning Analysts in the documentation of this data into the Plan for Every Part web tool. The incumbent is responsible for creating and maintaining a site level Flow Map for parts used in production. This position enables / coaches facility employees to utilize PFEP templates to load and maintain data in PFEP Web Tool and provides reports and information to facility resources requiring PFEP information. The incumbent is called upon to lead deployment teams, in the execution of Pull Material Replenishment processes in a plant. This work involves using material replenishment analytical tools, establishing and sizing material supermarkets, working with pull trigger systems, enhancing communications throughout a material flow path, and working with material handlers and other factory personnel to drive common replenishment processes in a plant. The incumbent must be able to work among production employees with little to no disruption to their workload. This position performs physical, tactical work across multiple functions to make improvements required to attain MQ or other like Certification for a Facility. The incumbent performs physical, tactical work to reduce / eliminate supply chain constraints at both the facility and value stream level, working with a cross-functional team of personnel. What Skills You Will Have: 1,Experience and knowledge of lean concepts and tools. 2,Experience and knowledge about CPS supply chain principles, specifically those applied to pull replenishment using material replenishment tools and processes, Supply Chain Planning analytical tools, material flow and throughput efficiency 3,Strong understanding and previous experience using common supply chain systems. 4,Knowledge of and / or experience deploying using 6Sigma Project Management principles. 5,Must possess leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining strong people focus and fulfilling the responsibilities for lead people. 6,Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a business division. 7,Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems. 8,Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and solid product knowledge 9,Must be able to design and deploy lean systems in a highly productive environment with minimal disruption to daily requirements 10,Qualification as a CPS Support Team Leader 11,CPS Functional Job Role Qualified 12,APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired. Required Qualifications: 1,Degree and experience requirement 2,College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, is required. 3,Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process 4,Seven to ten years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience 5,Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst or Engineer desired 6,Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes 7,A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.
