Job Summary: 61 Feit Electric’s Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet our high standards of product quality and regulatory compliance. They monitor mass production and outbound product at the factory’s location, rejecting non-conforming product as required. The SQE follows up on all factory corrective actions ensuring that they are effective and concluded properly. 61 The SQE is integrally involved in the New Product Release process, working with the factory’s pilot run process, reporting independently on the pilot run status, and issuing approval for new products to proceed into mass production. 61 The SQE assists with other Feit Electric requirements such as factory evaluations and customer approval processes and audits. 61 Fluent to communicate well in English, good writing, reading and speaking. Proficient in safety and fire products like smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector is a must. Responsibilities Include: 61 Travel to assigned factory locations. 61 Supervise and train Feit Electric inspectors to properly inspect outbound production before shipment. 61 Conduct outbound inspections as required. 61 Monitor in-process production, note yields and effectiveness of factory IPQC. Guide and participate in factory SOPs and continuous improvements to improve their yields and consistencies. 61 Monitor mass production photometric and life test results and take action as required. 61 Assist factories to properly conclude their corrective actions. Track, report and effectively close all Feit Electric corrective actions. 61 Assist factories with their Pilot Run process. Report their pilot run status on the Feit Electric Pilot Run form. When complete, authorize the transition to mass production. 61 Monitor and approve *** production. Randomly select *** production samples and have the factory air ship to per their QC Purchase Orders. 61 Assist Feit Electric customers to verify compliance with their requirements. This includes audits, testing, and corrective actions.
